Chapter 1:
Celeste Parker and her boyfriend Nash, along with their friends are in the woods. Celeste wanted to do this date night for a long night and being under the stars with a full moon is not what she expected. Nash started telling a scary story he claims is true about a werewolf. During the story there are several howls in the distance. Everyone, included the story-teller, Nash is scared. They panic and Nash disappears. Everyone heads to the car thinking Nash got eaten to find out hes waiting for them at the cars with a smile on his face.
- My personal reaction was terror and anger. Terror, because I could put myself in their shoes and imagine being scared and anger, because if my boyfriend ever did that to me I would be mad.
- I believe the authors intent was to show everyone's personality so you could get to know them. Also to show you the legends of where they lived at. Some organization patterns I saw were the use of signal words.
